Please take a moment to
nominate someone for the WVHIMA
Board of Directors. We are looking for individuals to run for the
following elected positions: President-Elect, Director,
Secretary and Nominating Committee.
PRESIDENT - This person is installed from
the previous year election of President Elect. This role will
be responsible for setting up board meetings, appointing
chairperson for committees, as well as attend Summer Team Talks
and Leadership Conference (July) by AHIMA in Chicago, Serve as a
delegate to AHIMA (October), and attend Winter Team
Talks and Hill Day (March) in Washington DC.
PRESIDENT ELECT - This person will serve as
aide to the President, learning to conduct business for WVHIMA,
as well as attend Summer Team Talks and Leadership Conference
(July) by AHIMA in Chicago, Serve as a delegate to AHIMA
(October, and attend Winter Team Talks and Hill Day
(March) in Washington DC.
DIRECTOR - serves as members of the Board
of Directors, and become knowledgeable of the WVHIMA Bylaws and
Policies/Procedures. They serve as members of the bylaws
committee and attend/participate in board meetings.
SECRETARY - This person records all the
minutes of the WVHIMA and Board of Director meetings. This
person can also assist coordinating the meetings for the
President.
NOMINATING COMMITTEE - two elected members
serve with the second year past president to seek individuals to
run for vacant offices for the upcoming year.
