Draft of Business WV Business Practices/Barriers/Legal Drivers

After months of gathering WV Business Practices from approximately 17 stake holders in WV (via surveys, interviews and focus groups), we have assembled the draft of the Assessment Tool

This will serve as the basis for the Interim Assessment of Variations Report that we are preparing for the Steering Committee and Board of the WVHIN to approve and send to Research Triangle International.  This report will also be submitted to the next working groups (Solutions and Implementation) to help look at possible solutions to the barriers and how we will overcome those barriers.

Additionally, you will find in this assessment tool, all of the barriers that have been identified by members of the Variations Work Group- These have been addressed by the Legal work Group and they have diligently added the legal drivers that pertain to the business practices.

However, before we can finalize a report, I am asking your assistance by:

Reviewing the business practices and add any others that you feel are appropriate.  If you worked with WVMI in the Variations Work Group, please make sure that we captured your business practice correctly and we didn’t change important facts in the many re-writes we did!  (All information has been de-identified.)

PLEASE send to any stakeholder in your organization that you feel would be interested in review and comment.  If possible, please post to your organizations’ we site and listservs.

If you feel that you have any solutions to the barriers, please send- this will help the Solutions Work Group with their job.

All comments and additional business practices can be sent to me directly at pruddick@wvmi.org – Any questions or comments can also be sent to me via email or at 346-9864 ext 4211.

Again, thanks for all of your help and assistance-once we get the Interim Variations Report out, a BIG majority of our work will be accomplished. We will also be presenting the work we have accomplished to date at the November 13 Regional Meeting in Charlotte.  The business practices and legal drivers will also be posted on the RTI Portal in the next few weeks-anyone who wants to access that portal can do so- just let me know and I will send you the link and a user ID and password.
